Hopefully its not just talk, but actual changes will be made.

and it ended with me saying that i agree we cant please everyone but right now we are not pleasing anyone

sorry, I'm still confused. how is that "standing up to upper management"? Sounds like talking to your mentor is a private conversation or was that in a big round?
